It was a peaceful day in Ponyville, a day like no other. Fluttershy was out in her garden tending to the animals and many flowers that grew there. "Looks like today is going to be pretty quiet, I have so many things to do," she thought to herself "I might just have time to see Rarity at the spa."

Fluttershy walked down towards the market " I sure hope that Angel Bunny's favorite carrots are in today, she always gets so mad whenever I get her the regular kind" Suddenly she heard a playful scream "Hey Fluttershy!" the pony cried Fluttershy jumped and squeaked from being so frightened by the pony. She tried to keep her balance but suddenly fell backwards and landed on her back. Squirming like a turtle the Pink pony helped her up. "Hey silly!" Fluttershy suddenly gave a small smile, it was Pinkie Pie. "Oh uh.... hey Pinkie.." she stammered still in shock from the sudden attack.
"Whatcha doin today!" Pinkie playfully asked. "Oh um.... I had a few things that I have to do today...." "Aww, that's too bad I was hoping to get everyone together today," she said. "I uh might have some time later tonight.... What did you have in mind?" Fluttershy Said finally recovering from her scare. "Well! Since the last time we all had a huge party together was like last week I thought why not plan another one!" Pinkie Exclaimed. Fluttershy managed to give a weak smile. She loved Pinkie's parties but she was always so shy when they happened and she could never express herself in the way she wanted to there. All her friends were there. Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash...

She and Rainbow had been friends ever since they were fillies back in Cloudsdale in flight school. Mostly because everyone in flight school had all tormented and bullied her for being so shy, and Rainbow was the only one that really stood up for her. That was when she knew that she had really liked Rainbow Dash, but never managed to tell her about her feelings towards her. One day when they were young During a Race that changed all of her friends' lives forever, which was the reason of their cutie marks and maybe even their friendship towards everyone. After the race was done Rainbow and Fluttershy never saw each other again because Fluttershy never wanted to go back to Cloudsdale with all of those mean ponies there and soon moved to a small town nearby Ponyville. After a few years Rainbow Dash decided to quit flight school and move away from Cloudsdale to the town of Ponyville.
"Uh, Fluttershy, you still there?" Pinkie yelled again. "Oh uh..." Blushed Fluttershy realized that she had been staring off in the distance for quite a while. "Wow you completely zoned out!" Pinkie said. "Sorry." Fluttershy said holding her head down. "Oh don't be sorry Fluttershy" Pinkie said. "Do you think you can come to Sugercube Corner, I think twilight and Rarity said that they should be there."Oh, uh, alright, when I finish up here I'll come along..." She said.

After grabbing a few of Angel Bunny's favorite carrots and many other things for herself Fluttershy started to head toward Sugercube Corner. She opened up the door and saw all of her friends sitting at the table; they seemed to be talking about something. "Yeah, I think that tonight would be fine." Twilight said. "Oh hey there Fluttershy!" she said suddenly seeing Fluttershy in the doorway. "Oh uh hey girls." said Fluttershy "Fluttershy I hope you don't mind but I moved our appointment to the spa from tonight to tomorrow night if you would like to come to the party Pinkie had setup for us." Rarity said. "Oh um.... Sure I guess." Fluttershy replied quietly. "Oh that great dear! We're going to have it at Twilight's place in a few hours." she said. "Well then if we're going to be having the party in only a few hours shouldn't You and Pinkie head to the library and get to work setting up?" Applejack suggested. "Oh my gosh! I almost forgot about cleaning up! See you guys at the party later!" Twilight yelled as she grabbed Pinkie Pie and ran off. "Hey, where's Rainbow Dash? She said she was going to be here." Applejack complained. "Maybe she's busy and couldn't make it..." Fluttershy said trying hard not to blush. "Well, you're probably right sugar cube; you and her have been friends for so long you know her better than anyone here in Ponyville." Fluttershy couldn't hold it in anymore and began to blush a bright red, but Applejack and Rarity didn't seem to be paying any attention because they were arguing about something. "Alright, I'm going to start getting ready for the party." Fluttershy said "Alright dear, if you happen to see Rainbow be sure to tell her about the party tonight!" Rarity yelled after her as she ran out the door.

Back at Fluttershy's cottage Fluttershy was pacing back and forth mumbling to herself, "Come on Fluttershy, just go out there and tell Rainbow Dash about the party. I mean it's only a party it's not like it was a date or something." Just at the thought of dating Rainbow Dash made Fluttershy Blush bright red and Angel Bunny looked at her with a very inpatient look. "Oh sorry angel, I forgot to feed you again, didn't I? Sorry... I've just had so much on my mind I don't know what to do, I mean she's a mare and I'm a mare, what would she said even if I had the courage to tell her my feelings about her, it could ruin our entire friendship!" Fluttershy said raising her voice a little without even noticing. A little while after feeding Angel Bunny Fluttershy finally decided to go and tell Rainbow dash. It took a while but she finally managed to climb up to Rainbow dash house and knocked on the door very quietly. There was no answer, she knocked again and still nothing. After the third time she was about to give up and walked about when suddenly she see a small blue bird in the distance it seemed to be getting closer. That wasn't a bird that was. *WHAM* Rainbow Dash collided into Fluttershy "Ow...." Fluttershy said quietly. "Sorry about that Fluttershy! Didn't see where I was going." Rainbow explained, picking up Fluttershy as she said. "Uh Fluttershy what are you doing here at my house?" Rainbow Asked? "I uh... um....." Fluttershy seemed to have forgotten why she was there. "Oh yeah... Pinkie Pie was thinking of throwing a party tonight... would you um.. like to go?" "Ha! Miss a party thrown by Pinkie Pie? Oh course I'll go!" Rainbow Said flying around. "Where, when?" "Oh, it's at Twilight's place in an hour." Fluttershy replied. "In a hour?! I gotta get ready! See ya then Fluttershy!" Rainbow said speeding off. *sigh* "Maybe I can tell her tonight... yeah, that's what I'll do!" Fluttershy exclaimed feeling more confident than ever.
